The Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness is part of a dozen badland areas in the San Juan Basin in northwest New Mexico. What you find here is a fantasy world of land formations of sandstone, shale, coal, and silt. Visit the weathered formations with names such as the Alien Throne, Egg Hatchery, the Sphinx, and the Three Sentinels.
